Meditation improves your brain, let’s talk about it
The modern-day business world demands your attention 24/7 - many employees are suffering from mental health challenges, social isolation, and burnout.
As research has found, meditation impacts our brain’s deepest potential to focus, learn, and adapt. While scientists used to believe that beyond a certain age, the brain couldn’t change or grow, we now know that the brain has a quality known as plasticity, enabling it to grow new neurons and transform throughout our lives.
Studies show that when you are in meditation - rather than being left or right brian dominant, the whole brain lights up and starts to increase neuroplasticity - the brain's ability to change. Meditation also increases neurogenesis which is the brain's ability to generate new brain cells.
Meditation is a powerful tool for awakening new neural connections and even transforming regions of the brain. A study led by Harvard University and Massachusetts General Hospital found that after only eight weeks of meditation, participants experienced beneficial growth in the brain areas associated with memory, learning, empathy, self- awareness, and stress regulation (the insula, hippocampus, and prefrontal cortex). In addition, the meditators reported decreased feelings of anxiety and greater feelings of calm. This study adds to the expanding body of research about the brain’s plasticity and ability to change habitual stress patterns.
With the world only becoming more connected, we need to pause and relearn how to live in the moment. Without mindfulness, we’ll never be able to fully be present and truly live our lives.
Having one of the Chapter Two certified meditation practitioners lead Meditation or speak on the benefits of Mindfulness at your next corporate event, It can offer your employees the tools to access their highest potential, relieve stress and perform not only at work, but in all areas of their life.

What Gives Chapter Two Meditation Our Silent Edge
At Chapter Two, we take meditation and mindfulness very seriously. It is our belief that meditation has the power to help individuals and companies achieve great things; that mindfulness is the silent edge in business.
Our founder, Tess Sloane, discovered meditation during a difficult time in her life. She was able to use mindfulness to pause, refresh, and ultimately sharpen her skillset. Having previously worked as an HR professional, Tess is perfectly positioned to share how integrating meditation into a corporate environment can help with employee retention, mental health, and talent acquisition.
“Tess took our leadership team through a guided meditation and it was just what the doctor ordered! The workshop was a much needed reminder to take a pause in the day to be present in the moment. The tools shared are easily accessible in one's day to day and provide a way to reduce pent up stress and restore oneself. Tess' presence, tone and pace adds to creating a relaxing and safe ambiance which adds to the incredible experience (this is already tough to do but if anyone could do it, it's Tess!). The Earls team looks forward to continuing to work with Tess in the future!”
- SUMAN DHALIWAL, DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES AT EARLS RESTAURANTS

The emotional effects of sitting quietly and going within are profound. The deep state of rest produced by meditation triggers the brain to release neurotransmitters, including dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, and endorphins - in our programming at Chapter Two Meditation, we teach you practical tools to tap into this state during your busy day.
-
There are so many demands in our modern lives, (you probably have slack notifications, text messages and DM’s happening right now!) We will teach you breathing techniques and micro mediations that can be done in between calls, while you are driving and show you how to fit meditation into your daily routine?
